Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to discuss Hector Bellerin’s persistent knack of committing foul throws this season.

The Spaniard committed yet another illegal throw-in against Tottenham on Sunday, taking his tally for the campaign to five in 11 Premier League games.

As Squawka revealed, no player across Europe’s top five leagues has done a foul throw as often as Bellerin this term – worrying.

We’re all for defending players, although it really is difficult to shield the £110,000-a-week man in this situation.

Most footballers learn how to take throw-ins when they’re children. It is an absolute basic of football, and presumably, nearly every single player in the Premier League will know how to execute one properly.

One or two illegal throw-ins is excusable. However, to do it five times in 11 games – nearly once every other game – suggests that this is actually something Bellerin is going to need coaching on.

As one fan states, it is infuriating. It is arguably the cheapest way to lose possession. Just imagine the opposition go on to score after receiving the ball back from one of the ex-Barcelona man’s foul throws.

Mikel Arteta would surely be seething.

Let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying about it…
