The Zenit ace would be a superb signing for either West Ham United or Everton.
According to Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato, Juventus have withdrawn their interest in Zenit Saint Petersburg midfielder Leandro Paredes, leaving the door open for Everton and West Ham to swoop in for the Argentine this summer.
The 23-year-old joined Zenit from Roma in the summer of 2017, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £23.4 million, and he has gone on to really impress for the Russian outfit, chalking up five goals and eight assists in 33 appearances in all competitions thus far.
Paredes is a deep-lying midfielder by trade, and possesses the ability to dictate the tempo of a game, what with his composure when in possession of the football and his wonderful range of passing.
Both West Ham and Everton are in need of a top class central midfielder this summer, and should not hesitate to swoop for the Argentina international.
With Mark Noble set to turn 31 in May, the addition of Paredes to the Hammers squad would be a smart move from David Moyes.
The Toffees, meanwhile, would really benefit from having someone with the 23-year-old’s skillset amongst their ranks.
He is still under contract with Zenit until the summer of 2021, so he will not come cheap, but the two Premier League clubs should do everything within their power to bring him to England this summer, nonetheless.
