BBC pundit Pat Nevin reacted to the stunning strike from Said Benrahma during West Ham United’s 3-1 defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup.
While David Moyes was candid about the £20 million (Evening Standard) not showing his class enough a couple of months ago, he certainly did for the Irons against Erik ten Hag’s men. The Algerian international picked up the ball from outside the box, before curling into the top corner to open the scoring.
A Nayef Aguerd own goal followed by strikes from Alejandro Garnacho and Fred meant Manchester United eventually beat West Ham but BBC pundit Pat Nevil gave Said Benrahma the credit he deserves for his well-taken stunner.
BBC pundit Pat Nevin raves about Benrahma in Manchester United defeat
The skilful winger has often been criticised for being inconsistent, with Martin Keown calling him out as well a month ago, while previously, the Hammers boss has slated him for his wayward shooting and erratic style of play.
However, the polarizing, yet ‘fabulous’ West Ham wizard Said Benrahma managed to dazzle against Manchester United with a belter of a goal that certainly impressed pundit Pat Nevin, who sang his praises on BBC Sport.

“If anyone has deserved a goal then it is him, he is the only player who looks like he has had an end product. He has been laying on chances for everyone else and he probably thinks “forget that, I’ll do it myself.”
The West Ham star is the definition of an enigma
There is no doubt about the fact that the ex-Brentford fan favourite has quality in abundance and can turn a game on its head singlehandedly.
But while Said Benrahma has days when can send Manchester United into shock by opening the scoring for West Ham, while leaving BBC pundit Pat Nevin awestruck as well, he equally has days where he frustrates.
The day the 27-year-old well and truly gets it together, he could become one of the most highly-rated widemen in the Premier League.
