Everton playmaker Gylfi Sigurdsson is yet to hit top form this season.

Pat Nevin is blown away by the ability of Everton ace Gylfi Sigurdsson and is convinced that he can be the cornerstone of Marco Silva’s team.
The 29-year-old attacking midfielder has been a prominent figure for the Toffees this campaign, scoring two goals and supplying one assist in six games across all competitions.
But the Iceland international is still yet to hit top form and is still trying to repay the £45million (BBC) the Toffees paid for him in 2017.
Ex-Everton player and current BBC pundit Nevin has raved about the quality of Sigurdsson.
“I think he is a spectacularly special player that you can build your team around,” Nevin told the club’s official website.
“His vision is outstanding. When you’re watching the game, and if you’re a creative-type player like I was myself, you see the passes that should be played.
“His set-piece delivery is just extraordinary, too. We all know about his free-kicks and, of course, he can arrive late into the box and score goals. He is a real special player.”

Sigurdsson has proven during his time at Swansea City and at Goodison Park that he can be a consistent goalscorer from midfield.
Silva needs to use the creative playmaker – who earns £120,000-a-week, according to spotrac.com – to help his side bounce back from a dip of form.
The Merseyside club are without a win in their last three games and travel to Arsenal in their next fixture at the weekend.
Sigurdsson has shown glimpses of his quality so far this season, but he can certainly produce more and should be able to form a great understanding with attackers such as Richarlison, Bernard and Theo Walcott.
