Pat Nevin has showered praise on Celtic defender Kieran Tierney.

Former Scotland international Pat Nevin says that Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney reminds him of Chelsea’s world class winger Eden Hazard.
Tierney is an exceptional young talent, and is making massive progress with every game he plays. He is strong in defence, and is equally good going forward.
The 20-year-old has just started his international career, but the Scotland manager Gordon Strachan has been full of praise for the young player.
Although, Hazard and Tierney play in different positions, and as such, it is hard to compare their playing style, Nevin believes that Tierney terrifies rivals just like the Belgian.

Tierney is a constant threat for opposition players down the left flank, and he becomes a target for opponents. According to Daily Record, 11 different players have been booked for fouls on him in the last eight months.
Nevin, the former Chelsea and Everton player, says that Tierney provides the width, and he has the pace and ability to go past people.
He adds that Tierney reminds him of Hazard, who is the most fouled player in the Premier League over the last few years.

“It’s just that he is such an attacking threat. The way Celtic play the wide men, Patrick Roberts and Scott Sinclair, like to cut inside so they need others to provide the width,” said Nevin, as quoted by The Daily Record (printed edition; September 26th – page 49).
“Kieran does that brilliantly. He reminds me of Hazard, the most-fouled Premier League player for the last few years.
“That’s purely because he has the pace and the ability to go past people and, when you do that, you tend to get cleaned out.”
