Tottenham Hotspur booked a Europa League spot on Wednesday night.
Pat Nevin has told Eir Sport that Christian Eriksen was “absolutely spellbinding” in the first half of Tottenham Hotspur’s 3-1 win over CSKA Moscow last night.
Tottenham finished a disappointing Champions League campaign on a high by beating the Russians at Wembley to book a Europa League spot last night.
They had to do it by coming from a goal behind as first-half strikes from Dele Alli and Harry Kane cancelled out Alan Dzagoev’s 33rd-minute opener.

The Danish playmaker set up Alli’s equaliser, and played a role in the second, and Nevin gave him a 9.75/10 for his first-half showing.
“Tottenham were dominant [toward the end of the half]. Eriksen in particular. I’m giving him nine and three-quarters. I thought he was absolutely spellbinding for Spurs in the first half,” he told Eir Sport.
The former Ajax man has been in fine form over the past few weeks.

He broke his duck in the Premier League this season by scoring in Tottenham’s 2-1 defeat at Chelsea last month, before followed that with a brace in the 5-0 demolition of Swansea City at White Hart Lane at the weekend.
And Spurs fans will hope his form continues ahead of Sunday’s visit to Manchester United.
