Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic won against Partick Thistle at Celtic Park in the Scottish Cup on Saturday.

Forrest featured for Celtic in the Scottish Cup fifth-round tie against Partick at Celtic Park on Saturday afternoon.
The 26-year-old winger was the star of the show, as he scored all three goals to guide Brendan Rodgers’s side to a 3-2 win.

Former Celtic and Republic of Ireland international goalkeeper Bonner was following the match, and the 57-year-old raved about the Scotland international.
Bonner told BBC Sport (14:19): “James Forrest was magnificent. He is a player on top form and high in confidence.”

Strong display
Forrest was Celtic’s best player against Partick, and his three goals at Celtic Park saw the Glasgow giants book their place in the sixth round of the Scottish Cup.
The 26-year-old is a very talented and promising winger who is going to be important for Celtic as the season progresses.
With the Hoops playing in the Europa League knockout stages, Celtic fans will hope that the winger does well in the competition.
