Celtic slipped to defeat against Valencia.

Celtic’s Europa League adventure could be over after they lost the home leg of their first knockout tie.
The Scottish champions were defeated 2-0 by Valencia, and face a huge task to turn their fortunes around.
Celtic legend Pat Bonner spoke to BBC Sport about Celtic’s loss and said he had high hopes for the team.
They are in strong form domestically and entered the game full of confidence.
Bonner said: “Brendan Rodgers will be frustrated. I had confidence in the way Celtic were playing, the way they had started the year, but they just did not perform.”

He also acknowledged how Celtic began well, before they started making mistakes.
Bonner added: “Celtic are giving the ball away in horrible positions and have allowed Valencia to come into this game. The first 10 minutes Celtic controlled the game.”
It’s easy to nit pick elements of Celtic’s performance, and the reality is, they were beaten by a better side.
Valencia won and drew at Manchester United earlier this season in the Champions League and came close to reaching the knockout stages of the competition.
Despite their mixed La Liga form, Valencia are a very strong team and while there is disappointment and frustration at Celtic, there is no shame in their defeat.
