Pundit Pat Bonner has told BBC Sport that he felt Celtic striker Moussa Dembele enjoyed a ‘brilliant day’ in the 5-1 win over Rangers.
The Bhoys kept up their 100% record in the league this season by hammering Old Firm rivals Rangers 5-1 at Celtic Park earlier this afternoon.

Dembele was the star of the show, as he notched twice in the first half – one a free header from a corner and one a deft finish after blazing through the Rangers defence.
Joe Garner did pull one back for Rangers, but Celtic ran riot in the second half as Scott Sinclair and Stuart Armstrong scored either side of Dembele completing his hat-trick.
French hitman Dembele, signed from Fulham over the summer, was making his Old Firm debut today in place of the injured Leigh Griffiths, and it’s fair to say it was a dream afternoon for the 20-year-old.

His pace and power was simply too much for the Rangers defence to handle, and he has been hailed by former Celtic goalkeeper Pat Bonner.
Now a pundit for BBC Scotland, Bonner stated that he wondered whether Dembele could lead the line and score goals, and felt his question was asked in convincing fashion.

Bonner told BBC Sport that he thinks Dembele will be full of confidence after today’s performance, and hailed him for a ‘brilliant day’.
“We asked whether Dembele could lead the line and score the goals from open play,” said Bonner. “He has certainly shown today he can do that. The confidence is going to be oozing out of his body after his hat-trick. You don’t get this story too often. He also laid on the fourth goal for Sinclair. It is a brilliant day for the young man,” he added.
