Pedro Caixinha’s Glasgow Rangers lost against Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic at Ibrox in the Old Firm derby on Saturday.

Rangers’ recent run of poor results against Celtic continued at the weekend. Pedro Caixinha’s side lost the Old Firm derby at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon 2-0.
After a goalless first half, Tom Rogic put the Bhoys in the lead just five minutes into the second period, and Leigh Griffiths doubled the advantage on 65 minutes.
Although the Gers did compete with Celtic in the opening 45 minutes, they failed to match them after the break and deservedly dropped all three points.
Celtic legend Pat Bonner was following the match, and the former Republic of Ireland international goalkeeper was critical of Rangers defender Fabio Cardoso for the role he played in Griffiths’s second goal.
“What a simple goal, really,” Bonner told BBC Sport (70mins). “Nobody picking him up. Cardoso goes to sleep. He’s got to match Griffiths.”

One Rangers player who did at least try to make something happen against Celtic was Josh Windass.
The 23-year-old midfielder started the Old Firm derby on Saturday afternoon and played for 73 minutes.
Vladimir Weiss was following the Scottish Premiership game, and he was impressed with Windass in the opening minutes of the match.
The 27-year-old Slovakia international striker, now on the books of Al-Gharafa, spent the 2010-11 season at Rangers on loan from Manchester City.
