Celtic suffered an embarrassing 7-0 defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Pat Bonner has been quoted as saying by Deadline News that Celtic goalkeeper Dorus de Vries should have done better for one of the goals he conceded against Barcelona.
Celtic suffered an embarrassing 7-0 defeat to Spanish and European giants Barcelona on Tuesday evening.
De Vries, who joined the Bhoys from Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window, started the Champions League Group C game and played for the entire 90 minutes.

It was a match that the 35-year-old Dutch goalkeeper will not fondly remember, as the Hoops suffered one of the most humiliating defeats in the history of the Champions League.
Former Celtic goalkeeper Bonner has claimed that De Vries should have saved one of the goals that he conceded.
The former Republic of Ireland international believes that the 35-year-old should have kept out Neymar’s free kick in the 50th minute.

“Craig’s (Craig Gordon) six feet five and maybe he could have got to that free-kick, but most of the goals I don’t think the goalkeeper had any chance, whatsoever,” Bonner told Deadline News.
“Maybe the free-kick would be the one you would question. But Craig might be standing up saying ‘I would have saved five of them’!”
Lionel Messi scored a hat-trick against Celtic, while his Barcelona teammate Luis Suarez bagged a brace.
Neymar and Andres Iniesta scored a goal each for Luis Enrique’s side at Camp Nou on Tuesday evening.
