Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic lost against Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Scottish Premiership giants Celtic went down 3-0 to Bundesliga outfit Bayern away from home at the Allianz Arena in the Champions League.

Bayern took the lead after just 17 minutes when Thomas Muller found the target.
Joshua Kimmich doubled the advantage for the Bundesliga outfit just before the half-hour mark, and Mats Hummels wrapped up the scoring in the opening minutes of the second period.
Former Celtic and Republic of Ireland international goalkeeper Bonner was following the match, and the 57-year-old believes that Brendan Rodgers’s side should be happy that the scoreline was just 3-0 in Bayern’s favour.

“There probably should have been more goals for Bayern Munich for the amount of possession and chances that they’ve had,” Bonner told BBC Sport (21:42). “Celtic will (be) happy to get out of it with 3-0.
“They made a couple of chances late on in this game which will give them a little bit of confidence maybe for the return, but they’ve got to come up with some better plan than what they had tonight.
“They’ve got to defend better but they’ve also got to have some sort of plan that when they have the ball they just can’t keep giving it away when they’re under pressure.”
Over the course of the 90 minutes at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday evening, visitors Celtic had 39% of the possession, took nine shots of which four were on target, and earned three corners, according to BBC Sport.
