After more than 18 months of hard work, Pascal Struijk is getting closer to the Leeds United first team.
Struijk took a step forward last night when he was involved with the matchday squad as Leeds took on Brentford.
He was seen getting off the team bus in the video below from the Yorkshire Evening Post. Struijk walks out after Kiko Casilla and before Kalvin Phillips.
Struijk signed for Leeds from Ajax in January 2018 from Ajax.
The Dutchman caught the eye in Leeds’ win over Millwall for the under-23s in midweek, scoring one of the goals.
Until now, his only first team involvement has come in pre-season friendlies against non-league teams.
This is a sign Marcelo Bielsa is paying attention, and that he isn’t too far away from a first team chance.
Struijk’s hard work is close to being rewarded.
