Some Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the injury suffered by Pascal Struijk today.
What’s the story?
Leeds were in action against Real Betis this afternoon.
The Premier League club took on the Spanish outfit at Loughborough University Stadium.
It ended in a 3-2 defeat for Leeds.
A result is immaterial in pre-season friendly games.
Such matches are used for players to build up their fitness and to prepare for the upcoming season.
However, there was one particular incident that could already affect Leeds in 2021-22.
This is it.
As you can see from the clip above, defender Struijk suffered an injury following a challenge from Betis star Nabil Fekir.
It was supposed to be a friendly match, but the challenge was really uncalled for and could have been avoided.
The 21-year-old central defender, who was not exactly having a great game, had to be substituted eventually due to the injury he suffered.
It is not clear at the moment just how serious the injury is.
Hopefully for Leeds fans it is not bad.
