Pascal Chimbonda commented on Tottenham’s Instagram post and claimed that Lucas Moura will have a ‘great season’ if he starts.
The 28-year-old was regularly used by Jose Mourinho last season and he will be hoping Nuno Espirito Santo follows suit this time around.
On his day, the £23 million Tottenham player (BBC Sport) can look like an unbelievable talent, but it’s perhaps the inconsistency that frustrates fans.
But former Spurs man, Chimbonda, is backing the ball-carrying speedster to smash it next season if he’s handed the minutes on the pitch.
This is what he wrote when Spurs posted a picture of Moura on their Instagram page with his two kids:
“I think Lucas will have a great season,” said Chimbonda. “If he is starting, agree or not?”

If Moura could bottle up that performance he produced against Ajax in that Champions League semi-final then he would be one of the best players in the Premier League.
The consistent performances from Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son have always been there, it’s just a case of the rest following suit.
Nuno worked with players of Moura’s style at Wolves in Diogo Jota, Pedro Neto and Daniel Podence.
So, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Moura is a bit of a favourite of his moving forward.
