Rio Ferdinand has stated that Nemanja Vidic doesn’t even know who Thomas Partey is when discussing who is better, the Arsenal star or Manchester United’s, Casemiro.

Both Thomas Partey and Casemiro are vital cogs in the wheel of their respective clubs, with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal pushing for the Premier League title and Eric ten Hag’s Manchester United hoping to finish the season with two domestic trophies and Champions League football.

As things stand, those from Old Trafford are on course and it was helped by their penalty shootout win over Brighton in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on Sunday.

Casemiro played the entire 120 minutes and converted his spot-kick, as the Brazil star’s stock continues to rise after joining from Real Madrid in the summer.

Previously, Ferdinand has claimed that Partey himself would admit that Casemiro is a ‘better player’.

Well, ahead of a soon-to-be-released interview with Manchester United great, Vidic, it seems as though that topic was put to the former centre-back and he issued a brutal putdown of Partey, as he told FIVE.

“We went out for drinks with Vidic, for two or three hours afterwards,” said Arsenal fan, Joel Beya. “We spoke to him about Partey vs Casemiro. What did he say?”

“He said ‘who?’,” shared Ferdinand. “He didn’t even know who man (Partey) was. He didn’t even know who he was. It would have been nice to film that bit because we had to keep a little bit back.

PARTEY’S RECENT STRUGGLES

The crunch moments of the season have arrived and Arsenal’s £45 million signing (Sky Sports) has started to falter at the wrong time.

Arsenal have dropped points in their last three matches, with Partey having off-games, but there are still more hurdles to climb and he has a chance to turn things around.

As for Casemiro, he arrived at Old Trafford to win trophies, and as of this moment, there is every chance Manchester United add the FA Cup to their League Cup win, and also secure a top-four finish.
