Thomas Partey has reacted to his Arsenal transfer on Instagram.
The Ghanaian powerhouse signed for the Gunners in a £45 million deal from Atletico Madrid last Monday.
But international duty meant that Arsenal could not officially unveil their new midfielder – until now.
The North London club posted photos of Partey wearing their shirt and here’s how the player himself has reacted to the move on social media.
Mikel Arteta’s side are away to Manchester City on Saturday evening and it’ll be interesting to see if Partey is involved.
Going by his price-tag and profile, he might be but by the same token, Arteta may also have reservations.
That’s because Granit Xhaka and Mo Elneny have been pretty solid in Arsenal’s midfield so far this season and although one will definitely drop out of Arteta’s first XI in the long term, neither really deserve to be dropped as of right now.
Then again, if the Emirates Stadium side get hammered at the Etihad then the Spaniard will have to face quite a lot of questions and criticism with regards to leaving Partey out, which means he might take the safe option and start him.
