A frustrating 2020 has continued for Tottenham Hotspur youngster Troy Parrott.
Parrott is set to undergo surgery to have his appendix removed and this will cause him to miss the beginning of the restarted Premier League season, BBC Sport report.
This sadly leaves Tottenham back to square one in terms of cover for star man Harry Kane.
First the good news: Kane is back from injury and so is Heung-Min Son.
Both players were out of action when the season was halted, and the duo could revive Tottenham’s campaign.
But in terms of cover for Kane and Son, Tottenham now have nobody.

A year of hope
2020 had lined up as a big opportunity for Parrott, with Kane suffering an injury in early January.
Manager Jose Mourinho was not convinced though, and when Parrott did make it onto the pitch, he missed a penalty in the FA Cup shootout defeat at Norwich City.
For a nine game spell, Tottenham may get by. But Parrott’s injury underlines just how thin they are up front.
Spurs have no cover, and Lucas Moura does not enjoy playing as an emergency centre-forward.
Parrott’s chance has now been lost for now, and he will have to come back stronger next year.
It will be more difficult for him though, with this lack of cover likely to strongly highlight how dependent Tottenham are on Harry Kane, once again.
Jose Mourinho will be left with no choice but to add another striker this summer.
