Tottenham Hotspur take on Colchester United this evening.

Tottenham Hotspur take on Colchester United in the Carabao Cup tonight, with Spurs looking to avoid another away day disaster.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been struggling for away wins of late, and a game against League Two side Colchester should be a way for them to get back to winning ways.
They will have to take this game seriously though, and Pochettino will no doubt want to name a strong side, but two debutants could be in the side too.
Tottenham dropped something of a hint about their team selection last night, as their under-23’s took on Blackburn Rovers last night, and there were two notable absentees.
Defender Japhet Tanganga and striker Troy Parrott were both left out of the under-23 squad despite being regular starters, suggesting that they were omitted in order to face Colchester.
Centre back Tanganga really impressed in pre-season, and coming in to give Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen could be the ideal way to give the 20-year-old his first-team debut.

Meanwhile, striker Parrott is the most exciting talent in the Spurs setup right now, and he may come in for Harry Kane to lead the Tottenham attack for his first-team debut too, having also shown promise in pre-season.
The 17-year-old Irishman has been making waves for Spurs and for his country of late, and we may well see both players starting for Pochettio tonight in a major move.
