It is being suggested in Italy that Serie A side Parma will make a January move for Sunderland winger Emanuele Giaccherini.
Italian midfielder Emanuele Giaccherini may be ready to end his English adventure and sign for Serie A side Parma, according to the latest reports.
Giaccherini surprised many people when he left Juventus for Sunderland in 2013 and the gamble hasn’t quite paid off for the 29-year-old on the whole.
While there have been flashes of his potential, Giaccherini hasn’t come into his own in the Premier League and his career seems to have stalled somewhat.
Parma director Pietro Leonardi is said to have made an approach to his Sunderland counterparts and is hoping he can find an agreement, probably in the form of a loan.
However, a move seems somewhat unlikely given the dire financial situation at Parma where many former players are still awaiting back-dated wage payments.
