Former Premier League star Ray Parlour was speaking live on Sky Sports now this morning at 10:07 am, and discussed the form of Manchester United youngster Marcus Rashford.

The 18-year-old took the Premier League by storm last season and scored in his league debut against Arsenal.

In fact, he has scored on his debut in five separate competitions for club and country – the Premier League, the EFL Cup, the Europa League and for England’s senior and under-21 sides.

Parlour told Sky Sports how Rashford’s performances merit a regular starting role for the Red Devils:

“I definitely would play him in every single game. If he’s fit, play him. Because he’s a player that never gives up. He’s been superb, he really has. What a great youngster to bring into the side, with the experience around him. Rashford, for me, should definitely be on that team-sheet.”

With the struggles of Wayne Rooney well documented, now could be the ideal time for Jose Mourinho to give the England captain a much needed rest, and unleash Rashford on Leicester City at the weekend.

Rashford has scored seven goals in 14 Premier League appearances for United, and never seems overawed by any situation he is presented with, which is quite remarkable considering he is just 18-years-old.

Mourinho’s men desperately need a win against the Foxes on Saturday to get their league campaign back on track, and the inclusion of Rashford in their line-up could be just what the team needs.
