Ray Parlour has said on talkSPORT (8:43am, November 11, 2022) that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool should sign West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice, adding that he is too expensive for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
Parlour made the comments about Liverpool and Rice when suggested that Arsenal should try to sign the West Ham and England international midfielder.
The former Arsenal star believes that the North London club will not be able to afford the youngster.

Parlour said: “I don’t think they (Arsenal) will have that sort of money. I think Tielemans is coming to the end of his contract, isn’t he? So you might be able to get him for a little bit cheaper than Declan Rice. I am amazed that’s where Liverpool need to go and try and get Declan Rice.”

Could a transfer happen?
In our view, West Ham United are simply not going to sell Declan Rice to Liverpool or Arsenal in the January transfer window.
There is no way that it is going to happen.
No way.
Yes, West Ham are not having the best of times in the Premier League at the moment.
And yes, Arsenal and Liverpool are bigger and more successful clubs.
And more ambitious as well.
However, West Ham are a big and established Premier League club who are not going to sell their most prized asset in the middle of a season.
What about next summer?
Maybe, but Liverpool or Arsenal would have to pay millions, perhaps even a record fee for an English player.
In February 2022, West Ham manager David Moyes said that Rice is worth more than £100 million.
