Ray Parlour has suggested to Sky Sports that Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge would be a good signing for West Ham United in the January transfer window.

The former Arsenal midfielder, though, has suggested that the Sturridge would have to train differently in the second half of the season to keep himself fit.

Parlour told Sky Sports about West Ham taking a chance on Sturridge: “Well, you probably would for two or three months and have a go, and say, ‘Look, do try and stay fit’. He might have to train differently to some people.”

Sturridge is struggling for playing time at Liverpool at the moment, but the 28-year-old England international striker has proved himself in the Premier League.

The former Manchester City and Chelsea striker’s main problem is his fitness, but there is no doubt over his finishing and overall quality.

However, according to Sky Sports today, the striker is set to join West Bromwich Albion on loan from Liverpool for the rest of the season.
