Christian Eriksen played in Tottenham Hotspur’s 4-0 win against Stoke City in the Premier League at the weekend.

Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour said on the Goals on Sunday show on Sky Sports 1 on Sunday morning (broadcast from 11am, September 11, 2016) that he thought that Christian Eriksen’s place in the Tottenham Hotspur starting lineup was under threat.
Parlour admitted that he thought that summer signing Moussa Sissoko would take the place of Eriksen in the Spurs team.
Sissoko joined Tottenham from Championship club Newcastle United in the summer transfer window.
According to BBC Sport, the North London outfit had to pay a transfer fee of £30 million in order to secure the services of the France international midfielder.
Former Arsenal star Parlour has admitted that he thought that Sissoko would take Eriksen’s place in the team.

The former England international made the comment while analysing Eriksen’s performance for Spurs against Stoke City at the weekend.
The Denmark international attacking midfielder started the Premier League game at the Bet365 Stadium on Saturday afternoon and played for 78 minutes.
During his time on the pitch, the 24-year-old took three shots and created five chances, as Spurs won 4-0.

“Look at the competition for places in that midfield area,” said Parlour on the Goals on Sunday show on Sky Sports 1 on Sunday morning (broadcast from 11am, September 11, 2016).
“It’s unbelievable. I thought Sissoko might take Eriksen’s place, but this shows you people have got to step up now.”
Tottenham are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with eight points from four matches.
