Ray Parlour said on talkSPORT (6:29pm, February 15, 2021) that Arsenal attacking midfielder Emile Smith Rowe looked a complete player two years ago.

The former Arsenal star added that injuries to the 20-year-old then affected him, and he seems pleased that the youngster is now playing regularly for the Gunners.

Smith Rowe has established himself as a regular in manager Mikel Arteta’s first team.

Parlour said about Smith Rowe on talkSPORT (6:29pm, February 15, 2021): “I saw him a couple of years ago. He looked the complete player then, but he has his injury problems. Now he is getting a run in the team. He is a very important player for Arsenal going forward.”

Important player for Arsenal

Smith Rowe is playing regularly for Arsenal now and is a key figure in the current set-up at the Emirates Stadium.

According to WhoScored, the attacking midfielder has provided four assists in 10 Premier League matches, and has scored one goal and given two assists in 120 minutes in the Europa League for the Gunners so far this season.

The England Under-20 international had a groin injury during his loan spell at RB Leipzig and could not really make an impact, but he did well during the second half of last season at Huddersfield Town.

The young attacking midfielder made 13 starts and six substitute appearances in the Championship for Huddersfield, scoring two goals and providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
