Alan Pardew said on talkSPORT (3:47pm, September 11, 2020) that he wanted to sign Leeds United newboy Rodrigo.

The former West Ham United and Newcastle United manager believes that Rodrigo is a good signing for Leeds.

The West Yorkshire outfit signed the 29-year-old – who can operate as a striker or as a winger – from Spanish club Valencia in the summer transfer window.

Pardew said about Rodrigo on talkSPORT (3:47pm, September 11, 2020): “They have signed well in Rodrigo, a player that I have tracked a few times. He is a very good player. He will add to them.”

Is Rodrigo a good signing for Leeds United?

Rodrigo is a versatile player who can play as a striker or as a winger, and that will be big for Leeds this season.

Head coach Marcelo Bielsa could deploy the 29-year-old upfront or out wide depending on his formation and the opposition.

The 29-year-old has played 23 times for the Spain national football team, and he has arrived at Elland Road with a strong reputation.

Rodrigo has international pedigree, and he will be looking to hit the ground running and give a good account of himself at Leeds.

Leeds’s opening Premier League game of the season is against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday, and the Whites will be looking to make a statement and pick up all three points from the encounter.
