West Bromwich Albion have a lot of hard work ahead of them, if they are to avoid the drop this season.

Baggies boss Alan Pardew addressed the media during his pre-match press conference, ahead of his side’s trip to Stoke City tomorrow, and shared how he cancelled Christmas party plans for his players and staff, as quoted by the Express & Star.
West Brom are currently in a whole world of trouble, deeply entrenched in a relegation battle, after their return of just 14 points from their opening 18 Premier League games has left them sitting precariously in 19th position in the table.
Pardew’s arrival at the Hawthorns was expected to coincide with an upturn in form for the Baggies, but that has so far failed to materialise, with his side picking up just two points fro his opening four games in charge.

Tomorrow’s game at the BET 365 Stadium will vitally important for the Black Country outfit, with Mark Hughes’ men currently sitting two points and two places above them in the Premier League table.
Pardew spoke to the media ahead of his side’s trip to the Potteries tomorrow, and opened up on the hardline approach he has taken to the Christmas period, as quoted by the Express & Star:

“I said to the players when I arrived I don’t think Christmas parties are appropriate in the position we’re in. So the staff haven’t had a party and the players haven’t had a party. But we can still have a Christmas lunch and that’s what we’ve done.”
Incredibly, a win for West Brom tomorrow could see them climb as high as 14th in the table, should results elsewhere go their way.
