Fabio Paratici has met with Sampdoria this Thursday to discuss the Serie A side’s interest in loaning Bryan Gil from Tottenham Hotspur for next term, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Luigi Ferraris Stadium natives are the latest side to throw their hat into the ring for the Spain U21 talent’s services. Gil will return to north London this summer after spending the second half of last season on loan at Valencia, with whom he laid on an assist in 17 games.

But the 21-year-old is unlikely to remain at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for long with a second temporary exit on the cards. Antonio Conte seldom relied on Nuno Espirito Santo’s summer signing after taking up the helm, with Gil only playing eight times for 181 minutes.

Paratici has met Sampdoria to discuss interest in Tottenham gem Gil
Tottenham managing director Paratici met with representatives of Sampdoria on Thursday to listen to the Genoa outfit’s interest in Gil. Blucerchiati manager Marco Giampaolo feels the forward can strengthen his attacking ranks next season after finishing 16th in Serie A.
Sampdoria only sat six points from the drop zone at the close of play in May, after scoring 46 goals in 38 games. Giampaolo also relied on Francesco Caputo to score 11 of his side’s efforts, Antonio Candreva to turn home seven and Manolo Gabbiadini to add another six.
A move to add Gil to the Blucerchiati front line may now be on the cards with Tottenham open to discussing Sampdoria’s interest further. After spending time back in Spain after his £21.5m plus Erik Lamela move from Sevilla in July, Spurs are open to an adventure in Italy.

Tottenham are in further talks to send Gil out on loan again next season
But Tottenham are in further talks with overseas outfits over sending Gil out on loan again next season. Marca have claimed that Valencia would like to retain the winger for another campaign, but it remains to be seen what impact Gennaro Gattuso taking charge will have.
Gattuso replaced Jose Bordalas at the Mestalla helm at the start of June. Bordalas had also appeared to lose some faith in Gil toward the end of his tenure, despite praising the four-cap senior Spain international as a ‘difference maker’ shortly after his arrival at the club.
Also, Mundo Deportivo note Real Sociedad are in talks with Tottenham over signing Gil on loan for next season. While Homme Du Match claim Ligue 1 outfit Marseille are interested in the Spaniard’s services and president Pablo Longoria has spoken to Paratici over a deal.
