According to The Times, Tottenham Hotspur think that Luis Enrique could convince Harry Kane to stay.
What Tottenham Hotspur think of Luis Enrique
The report has claimed that former Barcelona head coach Luis Enrique is open to taking charge of Tottenham should Antonio Conte leave.
The Spaniard “is a favoured option for Tottenham’s managing director of football, Fabio Paratici,” according to the report, which has added that his attacking footballing style and developing young players would appeal to Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
“There is also a belief that Luis Enrique could have enough pedigree and personality to convince Harry Kane to sign a new deal, with Spurs still optimistic the striker will stay,” adds the report.

HITC Verdict: Blockbuster managerial appointment for Tottenham
In our view, Luis Enrique would be a blockbuster managerial appointment for Tottenham Hotspur.
The Spaniard was hugely successful during his time at Barcelona, winning La Liga and the UEFA Champions League.
Luis Enrique was a great player as well, and he would bring him with that winning mentality and also a very fine footballing style.
Antonio Conte is an elite manager, and while many would say that Luis Enrique is not at the level, we cannot ignore that the former AS Roma boss is a UEFA Champions League as a manager.
We believe that replacing Conte with Luis Enrique would be a bad move for Tottenham.
