Speaking on his YouTube channel, Alasdair Gold has been discussing Tottenham Hotspur and their recent links to Pedro Porro.
The Spanish full-back has been linked, quite heavily, to Tottenham in recent weeks, and according to Gold, there is some weight behind these rumours.
Indeed, the journalist says that Fabio Paratici is a bit of a fan of the Sporting defender, but there are some doubts within the club as to whether or not this player would be a good fit for Antonio Conte’s system.

Spurs like Porro
Gold shared what he knows about this player and Tottenham.
“He’s been on Spurs’ list for a little while and there’s some indication that Paratici quite likes him as well. Where the doubts lie is whether he’s a Conte signing. Physically does he fit the mould of a Conte wing-back? Look at the players he often has at wing-back, they’re often tall, able to put in crosses from the other wing-back, pacy, strong. Porro has a lot of qualities but whether he is a physical fit for a Conte wing-back,” Gold said.
“With Porro he is a talented player, but I think they have to see whether those doubts over being a physical fit will be too much to make a move or not.”
Hasn’t stopped them before
Tottenham may be worried about whether or not Antonio Conte will take to Porro, but that hasn’t stopped them from signing who they want in the past.
Indeed, not long after Djed Spence signed for the north London club, Conte went on the record to vehemently state that the former Middlesbrough man wasn’t his signing.
However, as many will know, Spence’s time at Spurs isn’t quite going to plan, so perhaps Tottenham will be more hesitant to go and sign a player Conte doesn’t want after Spence’s lack of impact.
Regardless, Porro seems to be a player to keep an eye on.
