A round-up of the latest transfer gossip from across Europe as Tottenham Hotspur eye Chelsea ace Conor Gallagher and Liverpool line up a possible swoop for a Fulham star.
Spurs remain in the market for new midfielders entering the final days of the winter sales to strengthen Ange Postecoglou’s debut side. A deal to sign Gallagher from Chelsea before the winter window slams closed might also see Tottenham let some players leave north London.
Postecoglou has made strengthening the core a goal with Tottenham sat fifth in the Premier League table after 21 games. Chelsea are in just ninth place under Mauricio Pochettino, who has started Gallagher in 20 of the Blues’ fixtures and has often captained the 23-year-old.

Tottenham Hotspur are seriously considering making Chelsea an offer for the late transfer of Conor Gallagher, reports The Times. The Blues are willing to sell for the right price and asked for £50m when Spurs sought to sign the England midfielder in the summer transfer window.
Gallagher switching from west to north London in January could also then see Tottenham let Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg leave the club. But The Times adds that Hojbjerg has now rejected any move to Lyon in January. The Dane also has no desires for leaving Tottenham during January.
Lyon have turned their interest to Nottingham Forest midfielder Orel Mangala after missing out on Hojbjerg’s transfer, reports L’Equipe. Les Gones are determined to further strengthen their midfield after signing Nemanja Matic. Lyon also targeted Fluminense midfielder, Andre.
Despite Brentford agreeing on a £25m fee with Club Brugge for Antonio Nusa, his transfer to the Bees is now stalling. Sky Sports notes Gtech Community Stadium chiefs were due to let Nusa stay in Belgium until the summer. But complications arose on Monday to stall the deal.
Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo impressed Liverpool in the two side’s Carabao Cup semi-final, claims the Daily Mail. Anfield chiefs have had the centre-half scouted for some time as they identify summer targets. The AC Milan and Inter Milan target is a free agent this June.
The Daily Mail also adds that Blackburn Rovers remain hopeful of Liverpool agreeing to send Nat Phillips out on loan. Ewood Park chiefs are pushing to sign the centre-half in a last-gasp deal following his return from a loan spell at Celtic, where he featured in only eight matches.

Additionally, the Daily Mail reports that Sunderland are exploring loan transfers for Arsenal youngster Charles Sagoe Jr and AFC Bournemouth striker Kieffer Moore. But the Black Cats’ top target remains a return for their former loanee, Manchester United winger Amad Diallo.
The Daily Mail also notes that FC Nordsjaelland forward Ibrahim Osman is hoping West Ham United revisit their interest in a transfer. Brighton & Hove Albion plus Crystal Palace are also interested in the 19-year-old. But he is keen to join the Irons, who fell short with a £16m bid.
Saudi Pro League side Al-Shabab are set to miss out on Miguel Almiron with the winger now due to stay at Newcastle United. According to The Guardian, the Toon were happy to sell the Paraguayan for £30m this month. But Al-Shabab only bid £17m before pursuing Ivan Rakitic.
The Guardian also adds that Juventus forward Timothy Weah has rejected a loan transfer to Everton. He only joined the Serie A side from LOSC Lille last July and has played 19 times in all competitions. But the 23-year-old USMNT midfielder has just one goal and one assist yet.
Everton remain in the market for a new striker, though, and TEAMtalk claims the Toffees are interested in rivalling Luton Town for a loan transfer of Chuba Akpom from AFC Ajax. The 28-year-old is open to heading to the Premier League, despite scoring nine goals in 20 matches.
Reports by the Daily Record note that Rangers are optimistic about agreeing a loan transfer with RC Lens for Oscar Cortes. The Gers are locked in talks with the Ligue 1 side over a deal for the 20-year-old. Philippe Clement feels Cortes is the perfect signing to add to his attack.
