A round-up of the latest transfer gossip from around Europe as Liverpool face a £40m price tag, whilst Chelsea and Manchester United are offered Callum Wilson’s services.

Intermediaries are hurriedly scouring the market for potential teams who can sign Wilson in the final week of the window. Newcastle United are also likely to be receptive to bids for the 31-year-old. The St James’ Park club are keen to move clear of any probable FFP problems.

Moves on also on the cards entering the final seven days of the January sales for a clutch of further forwards and midfielders. Liverpool, for one, are keen to strengthen Jurgen Klopp’s engine room before the window slams shut. The Reds also now know the £40m fee needed.

Agents have told Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United that Newcastle United ace Callum Wilson is available for an £18m transfer. The Evening Standard reports the Toon may sell the 31-year-old to avoid FFP issues. He has seven goals in 14 Premier League games this term.

Despite their concerns regarding FFP, the Standard adds that Newcastle remain loath to sell Kieran Trippier to Bayern Munich. The Magpies are demanding £20m for the right-back this month and have already rejected multiple offers for the England star’s switch from Der FCB.

West Ham United are also monitoring Wilson’s situation at Newcastle, with David Moyes on the hunt for a late-window striker transfer. But The Guardian adds that the Irons might look elsewhere given the forward’s injury problems. He has missed three spells this season alone.

Bayern Munich want at least £40m for Joshua Kimmich amid transfer interest from Liverpool and Manchester City, per talkSPORT. The 28-year-old will enter the final year of his contract this July. But Der FCB are reluctant to sell the player Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola admire.

Talks are continuing between Crystal Palace and Blackburn Rovers over the transfer of Adam Wharton, reports Sky Sports. Rovers boss Jon Dahl Tomasson has confirmed that Blackburn have rejected a bid – worth £18m. The 19-year-old signed a contract to 2028 in December.

Middlesbrough winger Morgan Rogers wants to join Aston Villa and has told Riverside chiefs of his desire for the transfer, per Tom Collomosse. Boro have so far rejected two bids by the Villans for the 21-year-old they value at £10m. But Middlesbrough expect a third Villa offer.

Newcastle have reached a verbal agreement with Saudi Pro League side Al-Shabab over the transfer of Miguel Almiron, per talkSPORT. The Toon have accepted an offer worth in excess of £20m but remain open to other offers. Almiron has shown zero signs he wants the move.

Ipswich Town have made AFC Wimbledon striker Ali Al-Hamadi a leading target and hope to agree to terms before the transfer window shuts. The EADT also notes that the 21-year-old could move for £1.5m. But the 17-goal talent is currently at the Asia Cup representing Iraq.

Standard Liege are interested in a transfer for Jonathan Panzo from Nottingham Forest after his loan spell at Cardiff City expired. The Daily Mail notes the Belgian Jupiler Pro League side are hopeful of securing a deal after the 23-year-old played just 170 minutes while at Cardiff.

Paris Saint-Germain ‘frustrated’ Arsenal when they activated a £7m clause to re-sign Xavi Simons from PSV Eindhoven in July. Luke Edwards claims that the Gunners were considering a deal with Boeren last summer. Arsenal remain interested in a potential move this summer.

Talks between Tottenham Hotspur and Club Brugge over the transfer of Antonio Nusa are on a positive track. TEAMtalk even suggests that Spurs hope to agree on the terms of his switch by close of play on Thursday. Nusa is likely to cost £26m after scoring four goals this term.

It will take Arsenal ‘a lot’ to convince Charlie Patino that he has a route into Mikel Arteta’s XI when he returns from a loan spell at Swansea City, per Charles Watts. The Gunners intend to let the midfielder stay in Wales for the rest of the term and review his situation this summer.

Lyon are now honing in on the transfer of former Chelsea and Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic from Stade Rennais. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the 35-year-old is due to get a two-and-a-half-year contract to join Les Gones after rejecting a move to Besiktas.
