Speaking on the Official Leeds United Podcast, Patrick Bamford was speaking about Diego Llorente’s mindset after Leeds vs Liverpool after the centre-back went off injured.
Llorente has had some absolutely rotten luck with injuries over the past 12 months, and when the Spaniard went down on Sunday, it was fair to say some feared the worst.
Sadly, Llorente had similar fears after the game, as Bamford says he was panicking and emotional after the match.
Luckily, the striker says that the Spaniard is now in better spirits around the training ground.
What’s been said?
Bamford was asked about his teammate:
“How is Llorente? How was he after that, going off obviously wasn’t ideal, is he in good spirits? Is he alright?”
“Well, after the game he was a bit emotional because I think he was probably panicking that it (the injury), was something similar to last year that kept him out for a while. I saw him this morning and he seemed in good spirits and he was smiling, so I think he’s alright,” The striker said.

Worrying
Llorente will know his body better than anyone, so it’s worrying to hear that he was emotional about this injury after the game.
Although, the fact that Bamford says he’s in better spirits now does indicate that he may have had some good news on the injury front.
Llorente has had absolutely no luck with injuries since joining Leeds United. The Spaniard has been exceptional when he has played, but far too often he has been sidelined with injuries.
Fingers crossed he’s back fit and firing sooner rather than later.
