Jack Grealish is probably the biggest one and some Spurs fans were pained to see him join Manchester City in a £100 million deal this summer.
But another good example is Bruno Fernandes.
Tottenham nearly signed the 26-year-old from Sporting Lisbon in 2019 but the North Londoners wound up signing Giovani Lo Celso instead.
The Portugal international later admitted that he was ‘sad’ to see his move to North London fall through, as a result of Sporting wanting more money from the Lilywhites.
In the end, Manchester United paid £68 million to sign him that following January and he has arguably been the best player in the whole Premier League since, exemplified by his brilliant hat-trick for the Red Devils against Leeds United at Old Trafford on Saturday.
