Paddy Pimblett did not hold back when Logan Paul’s name came up in a recent interview.

The UFC fighter had just filmed an Under Armour shoot where he jokingly put Anthony Joshua in a rear-naked choke, and the pair were then asked to blind rank five influencer boxers.

King Kenny, one of the fighters on the list, was running the interview.

While Joshua placed Paul third, ‘The Baddy’ ranked him fifth, referencing their long-standing feud as the reason for his decision.

Back in 2022, Paul said Pimblett would be a good first opponent if he ever joined the UFC.

What started out as a fairly polite mention did not take long to turn into more personal back-and-forth between the two.

Fast forward three years, and Pimblett is now closing in on a lightweight title shot against Ilia Topuria.

Paul, meanwhile, has been focused on his WWE career and has not shown much interest in stepping into real fights, whether it is boxing or MMA.

However, Pimblett was asked to rank Paul during the interview and did not hold back:

“Number five, he’s a bad mushroom. I wanna punch his head in.

“Lad, he always talks about me in interviews when he’s got about five stone [70lbs] on me.

“I’ll still snap his leg in half. Yeah, [I’d fight him] and I’d snap his kneecap in half.”

Paddy Pimblett’s next fight

Pimblett has not been in the Octagon since his win over Michael Chandler at UFC 314 back in April, a fight he finished inside three rounds.

The 30-year-old had hoped to face Justin Gaethje at UFC 321, but with that bout now off the table, his attention has shifted to securing a title shot.

He explained to Marca: “At the minute, I’m struggling to get a fight.

“People talk behind the scenes, saying, ‘I want to fight him. I want to fight him.’ But when they get offered the fight, they don’t take it. I’m just sitting in limbo, waiting for a fight.

“I thought I was going to fight Justin Gaethje in Abu Dhabi in October, but he’s sitting out. Dan Hooker is fighting Arman Tsarukyan. Charles [Oliveira] just fought [Mateusz] Gamrot. There’s no one really for me to fight apart from Ilia Topuria.

“Hopefully, that fight gets sorted. I think it would’ve been sorted by now if he would’ve signed the contract, but he’s stalling. He’s another one that talks a big game on the camera, but when it comes to signing the contract, he won’t write his name on it.”
