Paddy Pimblett was happy to see his rival lose badly in the UFC 325 co-main event.
Over the past couple of weeks, a big feud has been growing between Pimblett and fellow lightweight Dan Hooker.
It started when ‘The Baddy’ criticised Hooker’s defensive grappling through a controversial remark. Hooker responded with a harsh comment about the Briton’s late friend, which only intensified their rivalry.
So when Hooker lost badly to Benoit Saint-Denis at UFC 325 this past Saturday, it is no surprise that Pimblett did not hold back his satisfaction.
Paddy Pimblett suggests Dan Hooker ‘quit’ in UFC 325 mauling

Many fans were hoping that Hooker’s fight with Saint-Denis would lead straight into a showdown with ‘The Baddy’ to finally put their differences to rest.
But following Pimblett’s reaction to the Kiwi star’s defeat in Sydney, it does not seem like that fight is on the cards any time soon.
Hooker got off to a strong start in the fight, appearing to have the upper hand in striking exchanges against the Frenchman.
Pimblett shared his thoughts during a video on his YouTube channel, saying: “It could be me against whoever wins this fight, to be honest.
“First half of this round Dan’s grappling doesn’t actually look too bad, he must’ve took what I said to heart. It could be Hooker next if it carries on like this.”
However, the momentum shifted midway through the first round when ‘God of War’ secured a takedown and began threatening submissions.
“It looks like he’s in pain there, Dan,” Pimblett said while watching the second round.
“He’s split him open to f—. Yeah, he’s quitting there Dan. BSD gets the finish. Nice to see Dan get TKO’d after the s— he was chatting.”
Dan Hooker already has his next opponent in mind
Hooker’s defeat to Saint-Denis follows a submission loss to Arman Tsarukyan back in November, making it two defeats in a row.
And with his number six ranking spot likely gone after this latest setback, he is now looking further down the list for his next opponent.
Just hours after his fight, Hooker called out Michael Chandler for a rematch at the UFC White House event, even using Chandler’s well-known catchphrase to make his point.
