Rodgers is reportedly in talks and on the verge of joining Leicester City from Celtic.

Brendan Rodgers is reportedly on the verge of leaving Scottish champions Celtic to join English Premier League side Leicester City – and former Hoops winger Paddy McCourt has posted on Twitter.
The Guardian claimed earlier this week that Leicester are not put off by the £5million compensation fee, and a move to land the former Liverpool and Swansea City boss is now seemingly in full swing.
Celtic confirmed via an official statement that the club have “reluctantly” granted Rodgers permission to speak with Leicester, after Rodgers indicated that he wanted to pursue talks with the Foxes.
It seems as though that Rodgers is to leave Celtic and move to Leicester, with some outlets claiming a deal could be confirmed as early as Tuesday. Ex-Celtic winger McCourt reacted on Twitter, stating he “really feels like crying”.
Rodgers is currently on a contract that would keep him at Parkhead until the summer of 2021, which would see him remain at the club until 10 in a row – if of course Celtic won every Scottish Premiership campaign until then.
However, it seems as though that Rodgers will not even be in charge for eight in a row if Celtic hold on to their eight-point lead at the top of the division this season, as a move to Leicester is imminent.
