West Ham United defender Pablo Zabaleta was a big advocate of Manuel Pellegrini when they worked together at Manchester City.

Pablo Zabaleta was one of Manuel Pellegrini’s biggest advocates, after working with the Chilean boss at Manchester City, and he would surely be keen to work with him again at West Ham United.
And Zabaleta’s comments about Pellegrini in 2015, when the former City boss was under great pressure, show just how highly he rates him.

Zabaleta said to the Guardian: “The manager deserves more respect from everyone. He came here last season, he won the league and the Capital One Cup.
“We cannot blame just the manager for this moment. Individual players have also not been great in the whole season.”
Zabaleta could now link up with Pellegrini again, if the manager does move to West Ham.
Zabaleta has been far from at his best this term, but Pellegrini may be the man to return the veteran defender back to his top level.

Pellegrini’s potential arrival at West Ham is likely to depend on the Hammers staying in the Premier League.
West Ham are currently in the thick of a relegation battle, with Moyes’ side in poor form.
The Hammers lost 3-0 to Burnley in their last match before the international break, with their next contest coming against Southampton at the weekend.
