West Ham United have really struggled this season.
West Ham ace Pablo Zabaleta spoke exclusively to the club’s official website about his side’s recent troubles, and offered high words of praise for the Hammers fans, labelling them as ‘incredible’.
The east London outfit are currently sitting precariously in 16th spot in the Premier League table, just three points clear of the drop zone, after winning only one league game since January 13th.
West Ham seem to be a club in crisis, with relegation to the Championship seeming to be a very real possibility.
The club’s supporters’ frustrations boiled over last week during the Hammers’ 3-0 defeat at home to Burnley when many of the West Ham faithful made their feelings known to the club’s owners.
Zabaleta, though, lavished praise upon the Hammers fans, when speaking exclusively to the club’s official website, highlighting how important their support has been this season:
“I’ve been saying for a few months since being at this club, I’ve seen the fans be incredible. Even away from home, I’ve seen the fans travelling everywhere, giving great support to the team. At home, at London Stadium, in front of 60,000 people, it’s incredible. It shows the potential of the Club in terms of how many fans West Ham have got.”
The east Londoners have to wait until March 31st before they play again – a home match against Southampton, and nothing less than a win will do for David Moyes’ men, as they look to put some distance between themselves and the bottom three.
