Manchester City will face Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday.
Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta has spoken highly of Tottenham Hotspur to The Mirror.
City will take on Tottenham away from home at White Hart Lane in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Zabaleta could start the match at right-back for the Citizens, and he has shared his admiration of Spurs’ playing style.
The 31-year-old Argentina international, who has won the Premier League title twice with City, has also outlined the similarities between Pep Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino.
Guardiola is in charge of City at the moment, while Pochettino is the current Tottenham manager.
“Mauricio has been compared to Pep and there are similarities,” Zabaleta told The Mirror. “They both like attacking teams, want you to be very intense, and to also play out from the back.
“When you look at Spurs, they create a lot of chances, they are a young team, they go forward and win the games.
“Now they are competing in the Champions League, which is really good for the club, and for some of the players to be more mature and grow up together. Yeah, Pep and Mauricio are very similar.”
Tottenham have progressed massively under Pochettino over the past two seasons.
The North London outfit came close to winning the Premier League title last season, and they will be looking to repeat the heroics during the 2016-17 campaign.
Winning against City on Sunday will not be easy, but if Spurs are able to pick up all three points, then they will give themselves massive confidence heading into the international break.
One should not be surprised, though, if the game in North London ends in a draw.
