West Ham United defender Pablo Zabaleta has recently signed a new deal to keep him at the London Stadium.

Pablo Zabaleta of West Ham United warms up prior to training at Rush Green on February 1, 2019 in Romford, England.

Pablo Zabaleta has told West Ham United’s official website that the fans at the London Stadium seem far happier now than when he first arrived.

Zabaleta has been with West Ham for two seasons and he has just extended his contract by another year.

The Argentine defender feels that West Ham are making good progress.

And he has sensed an up-turn in the way that West Ham fans are now feeling.

“Every season is better,” he said. “The last two seasons at London Stadium we’ve been in a relegation battle until the end of the season, so the atmosphere wasn’t as good, but this season I think we played some of the best football at home, especially when we beat Manchester United, Arsenal and some other big teams.

“It seems like the fans are so much happier now.”

West Ham managed to finish in 10th place in the Premier League table over the past campaign, and there are ambitions for them to improve even further in the coming years.
