Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Pablo Sarabia.

Tottenham Hotspur are being linked with a host of playmaking midfielders this summer, but they appear to have snubbed one player offered to them.
Spurs look set to lose Christian Eriksen this summer, and Mauricio Pochettino will now look to land another playmaker to replace the Dane should he move on.
Real Betis ace Giovani Lo Celso is a top target, with Sporting’s Bruno Fernandes is another name mentioned, and Pochettino will hope to land one of them.
Now, The Mirror claim that Spurs have actually been offered a deal for Sevilla playmaker Pablo Sarabia, but have decided not to pursue a deal for the Spaniard.
Sarabia’s numbers last season were staggering. In 52 outings in all competitions, Sarabia racked up 23 goals and 17 assists, meaning he averaged close to one goal involvement every game.
Being handed the chance to sign a playmaker with those numbers must have been tempting, and some fans may be surprised by this verdict, but Pochettino has made the right decision.

Sarabia is 27 now, and factor in that foreign players often take time to settle in the top flight, and you’d be looking at getting a couple of years out of Sarabia before hitting his 30’s, when Spurs would prefer to move on.
If Sarabia was around 23, it may be a different story. Instead, they’ll be aware that Sarabia may not be the long-term signing Spurs are looking for, and with no Premier League experience, may be concerned that he wouldn’t have an instant impact either.
For now, Tottenham are better off aiming high with talented youngsters like Lo Celso and Fernandes, who could be world stars in five years, whilst Sarabia would be well into his 30’s – so it’s not hard to see why Pochettino has made this call.
