Pablo Mari has revealed on Instagram that he’s ‘so proud’ of his Arsenal team-mates after their heroics on Saturday night.
The Gunners produced an exceptional defensive performance to beat Manchester City 2-0 and progress into the final of the FA Cup.
Goals in both halves from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ensured that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta masterminded an upset over his former mentor in Pep Guardiola.
It was a magnificent end to a week that also saw the North Londoners beat newly-crowned Premier League champions Liverpool.
Mari, who joined Arsenal on a permanent basis this summer after originally signing on loan in January, wrote on Instagram: “So proud of this team. Great win lads.”
Arsenal will find out who they face in the showpiece this evening when Manchester United and Chelsea square off.
Mari won’t be taking part no matter who it ends up being, given that he suffered a ‘significant’ ankle injury last month that required surgery, but the former Flamengo powerhouse will be there in spirit.
