Leeds United’s new signing has told Garry Monk he’ll play in any advanced midfield position.

Pablo Hernandez has offered his services to Leeds United boss Garry Monk either as a number 10 or a wide man in an interview with LUTV.
Leeds made the 31-year-old their seventh summer signing this morning after Hernandez signed on a six-month loan from Al-Arabi, with a view to a permanent deal.

Having played with Hernandez and later managed him at Swansea, Monk knows a lot about the Spain international as a player and has previously claimed he would play him an advanced central midfield role.
The former Valencia man usually operated on one of the wings during his time in South Wales, however, and Hernandez says he would happily take up a wide role at Leeds if Monk asked him to.

Asked by LUTV where he sees himself playing for the Whites, Hernandez responded: “I’ve played a lot as a number 10, but at Swansea I played on the right and left. Garry Monk knows me.
“He knows me I play in these three positions. I’ll play on the right, left or in the middle when Garry tells me, but the most important thing for me is to be in the XI.”
Leeds kick off their Championship campaign with a trip to Queens Park Rangers on Sunday afternoon, though it remains to be seen whether Hernandez will earn his debut this weekend.
