Leeds United look set to end up in the top six of the Championship this season.
Leeds United attacker Pablo Hernandez has revealed to The Yorkshire Evening Post a problem the team face in matches away from home.
The West Yorkshire outfit suffered a 1-0 defeat to Reading away from home at the Madejski Stadium in the Championship at the weekend.
Garry Monk’s side have won eight of their away league fixtures so far this season, but they have also lost eight, drawing three.
Hernandez, who is 31 years of age and can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder, has suggested a reason why Leeds struggle to perform well in away games – failure to create chances.
“I think in general in the games away, the team have more problems creating chances but we are working on changing this,” the Spaniard told The Yorkshire Evening Post.
Leeds are a good, attacking team who have created as many as 327 chances in 39 Championship matches so far this season.
Monk’s side need to improve their performances and results on the road, although it does look very likely now that they will finish in the top six.
The West Yorkshire outfit’s next league fixture is an away game. The Whites will take on Brentford at Griffin Park in the Championship on Tuesday evening.
