Leeds ace thrilled to have another Spaniard in the first team squad.
Leeds United hero Pablo Hernandez has told Spanish newspaper AS he is delighted with the club’s recent addition of Kiko Casilla.
The Whites signed Casilla from Real Madrid last week, their first January transfer.
The goalkeeper made his debut for the under-23s on Monday and could make his first team debut against Rotherham this weekend.
Star man Hernandez, who has seven goals and 10 assists this season, says he is pleased to have another Spaniard in the first team squad.
Hernandez told AS: “Very happy about that. [He is] also my family.
“When you are far from your country, you are grateful to share experiences with compatriots.
“I try to help him since he arrived, although on the field he does not need help, his value is beyond doubt.”
Casilla is expected to replace Bailey Peacock-Farrell shortly, who has had an up and down season in goal so far.
The new signing is 10 years older than the 22-year-old and his experience could be invaluable as Leeds push ahead to try and seal promotion.
