Pablo Hernandez predicts that he could improve under Leeds United’s Marcelo Bielsa.
Leeds United playmaker Pablo Hernandez has claimed to LUTV that he can get even better under Marcelo Bielsa next season.
The Whites pulled off a huge coup last month by hiring the renowned Argentine as their head coach, following Paul Heckingbottom’s departure.
Bielsa, 62, has previously managed Lazio, Athletic Bilbao and Argentina’s national team.
Hernandez was comfortably Leeds’ best and most consistent performer during an otherwise disappointing 2017-18 campaign, in which United finished 13th in the Championship.
However, the 33-year-old Spanish magician, who scored nine and set up nine in all competitions last term, reckons that he can get even better under Bielsa.
Asked on LUTV if he’s learning anything from the veteran manager, Hernandez said: “Yes of course. I’ve played for 20 years in different leagues, but every day I try and learn different things and I think I can improve even more this year.”
The prospect of Hernandez – who earns £19,000 per week according to The Star – improving is certainly an exciting prospect and one Leeds fans will be desperate to see materialise.
If United are going to win promotion to the Premier League next term, you get the impression that the former Swansea City star could play a big part in that, so if he is a better version of himself in comparison to last season then that can only be a major positive.
