Pablo Hernandez comments on Leeds busy festive schedule

Leeds United winger Pablo Hernandez is positive about play-off challenge.

Pablo Hernandez has told Radio Yorkshire that he is looking forward to the busy festive schedule in December, and expects a good run of form from his side.

Leeds seem to have recovered from their poor run dating from late September to mid- November where they managed only two wins in their 10 Championship games.

Their form has improved lately with Thomas Christiansen’s side winning four of their last six games, that includes a draw as well.

Ahead of the busy festive period, Hernandez says that it is important for the side to keep the momentum going.

Leeds are on a four-game unbeaten run, and they will be looking to make it three wins in a row when they face Hull City on Saturday.

Hernandez says that if Leeds can win three to four games in a row, they will find themselves in a good position to fight for the play-offs.

Leeds are currently seventh in the Championship table with 36 points, five points behind fourth-placed Derby County.

“I think it is very important for the schedule because in the next few games we play four or five games,” said Hernandez to Radio Yorkshire.

“I think after Christmas, if you can win three to four games in a row, you stay in the play-off position. The next game at home against Hull is very important.

“If we win we get three points, after that we have two difficult away games. In this Christmas period, you play a lot of games – you win three or four, you go up the table and fight for the play-off positions.”
