The Arsenal star has thanked the Manchester United midfielder following the latter’s retirement from international duty with Germany.

Arsenal attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil has taken to social networking site Twitter to send an emotional message to Bastian Schweinsteiger.
Schweinsteiger announced on Twitter on Friday that he has decided to retire from international duty with Germany.
Former Arsenal star Ozil played with the United midfielder for the Germany international team, and he has thanked the 31-year-old for the unforgettable moments.

Schweinsteiger will go down in history as one of the greatest players in German football.
The former Bayern Munich midfielder won the World Cup with Germany in 2014. The 31-year-old earned 120 caps for the national team, scoring 24 goals in the process.
Schweinsteiger has been hugely successful at club level as well, winning the Champions League and the Bundesliga with Bayern.

The midfielder won the FA Cup with United last season, although his overall performances for the Red Devils were far from impressive.
The former Bayern star struggled with injuries during his debut season in the Premier League.
Schweinsteiger also struggled with the pace of English football, and it will be interesting to see what role he plays for United under new manager Jose Mourinho.
