Arsenal overcame Brighton & Hove Albion 3-2 on Sunday and some of the Gunners players later expressed their feelings about the result.

Arsenal put their trophy hoodoo behind them last season by winning the FA Cup after a dramatic final against Hull City, and Arsene Wenger’s side are one of the few top clubs remaining in the competition after a weekend of drama that saw the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur crash out.

Arsenal defeated a resilient Brighton & Hove Albion side 3-2 courtesy of goals from Theo Walcott, Mesut Ozil and Tomas Rosicky, and after the match a number of Gunners stars took to social media to have their say on the result.

It obviously meant a lot to Ozil, who was starting his first game since recovering from a serious ligament injury, and he wrote, “The title holder(s) hold on.”

Aaron Ramsey and Calum Chambers also took to Twitter to express their delight at a job well done, and they will now be eagerly watching the fifth round draw to see who they have to overcome next in their bid to defend the trophy.
